Perfect Cup Every Time!
I purchased this as a replacement for the BLACK+DECKER DCM18 Brew ‘n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel Mug, which is no longer available. I’m really impressed! It brews a perfect cup of coffee every time, and the price is unbeatable. I removed the filter basket and use a #2 recycled cone filter, which filters the coffee faster than the white ones. One person mentioned that the first cup had a plastic taste, but I fixed this by brewing a mixture of 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water, followed by brewing plain water two more times. I’m very satisfied with this coffee maker; it takes up less space than the Black+Decker.This coffee maker is designed for convenience and efficiency, making it ideal for those who enjoy a quick cup of coffee without the hassle of larger machines. Its compact size allows it to fit easily in small kitchens, dorm rooms, or even offices. Product worked as is. No problems. The only thing is the sealer on the cup became loose and lid wouldn’t fit properly. Couldn’t use cup in the car.I would like to get a replacement cup.

This coffee maker lets us start our day on the road and on a visit.
We bought this coffee maker to take with us when we visit our kids and grandkids. My husband likes to get up really early and have a cup all by himself before everyone else gets up. It makes two smaller mugs of coffee and keeps one warm in the thermal mug. We have our full-size coffee maker at home, but this quiet, quick little coffee pot is not only cute, but also delivers a nice cup of coffee. We did follow directions to make two water run-throughs before we used it, and this seemed to work on the smell others reported. We also used trimmed paper coffee filters to keep things easy, and we feel this makes a better cup of coffee and lets us dump the grounds more efficiently. This coffee pot worked well for us in our travels. We also like the green color. We do wish it had a travel bag.

Perfect for a quick cup
Two things I don’t like…if you don’t make sure the lid is totally shut when getting ready to brew, the condensation from the steam will drip down the side of the machine & you could get scalded. And cleaning the sprayer off of coffee grounds that splashed up on it can knock off the grounds into the water chamber so you’ll have to go after it with a paper towel before refilling the chamber with new water. Things I like…it has a fine mesh filter so any kind of grounds or leaves can be brewed. It only takes a few minutes to brew a cup (which is included, along with a travel lid). I ordered the purple & I like how vivid the color is. Nothing to hate. It shuts off as soon as it’s done brewing. It brews directly into the cup, minus the cup lid. There’s a hole at the back of the water chamber in case you overfill it. The included instructions say to start with 3 tablespoons of coffee grounds, then adjust as needed. I filled the cup up with water within a half inch of the top & it was just the right amount. Once brewed, there was a good inch or so from the top of the cup. I don’t drink out of the cup because it doesn’t give me enough room to add my goodies to it, so I pour it into my normal cup. Hubby asked me to show him how to make a cup & he was surprised how easy it was…easier than our old first edition Kurig. The parts went through the dishwasher very well. Happy with this purchase.

On / off switch issues
Pros: the silver , grey & white is a great color combination. I like the neutral colors. It is much easier to see how much water there is and any potential issues with this color combination. I like the on button being on the side and no additional buttons. I like the simplicity of this coffee makerCons: I should have read the other reviews about the button not working correctly. I had the same issue. I was able to turn the button on once while cleaning the machine prior to use. The second time cleaning the machine the on button would not work at all. Prior to the second cleaning I made sure that machine was cooled down. Unplugged it and waited at least 10 minutes. Same issue the machine would not turn on, even after following all the instructions. The machine is defective so I sent it back.The plastic is a not that that thick. Unfortunately I have noticed this awful quality with at least 2 similar 1 cup coffee makers I have purchased under $30. It’s not just this brand. Quality in many brands is not as good as it used to be.Initially I was going to take a chance and order another 1 cup coffee maker in the exact same color combination in hopes the on button was just a rare defect. However I decided not to instead I purchased a 1 cup coffee maker that was over $40. It’s not as simple and has a few glitches yet the water is hotter and it’s a better quality coffee maker.I m hoping that the on button switch on this moddle of coffee maker could be upgraded to something better that actually works. A new and improved switch. If a new and improved model comes out I d take a chance and purchase this coffee maker again. I did like almost everything about it. Except the switch.

I absolutely love my new coffee maker with matching mug. The filter is so easy to clean too. I first let the grains cool down then tap the bottom and let the grains drop into paper bag for compost. Then I just rinse the filter with hot water. Comes out clean. Then I rinse the filter holder too in hot water. That’s it. So easy once you do the first two run through with vinegar water then just cold water. The other thing I love is the click it makes when you press the button. Makes things easier for me since I am completely blind. Makes a perfect mug of coffee. I would highly recommend this to my friends. Btw you need to let the maker completely cool down, takes about 5 minutes. If you try to make a second cup right away, the machine will not click on until completely cool down. Love that feature too.

It brews quickly and the mug keeps the coffee hot. It has an automatic shut off if you forget to shut it down after using it. I would recommend buying this item.

Perfect for our camper. Make good coffee and fast. Only drawback is the plastic liner mug so as soon as the coffee is made I transfer it to a metal mug . For the price it is an excellent coffee maker.

It’s perfect for one person, makes coffee hot which is nice! I like the reusable filter that comes with it! IT DOES NOT TAKE K-CUPS! I didn’t buy it thinking this but I did see some reviews or questions asking, and it does not. It is a cheaper coffee make which is more obvious by the structure, however it is perfect if your looking for one that’s individual and gets the job done!
