Best purchase ever for my travels. This bag is a game changer.
I purchased this for a 12 day overseas journey, and I’m so glad I did. The bag held all my essentials for the journey there – including clothing for a day (in case my other suitcase got lost), my liquids/meds, personal items, kindle, folders of info of reservations, and some other items. I love that it opens up as a regular suitcase, making it easier to pack so things don’t get buried. A TSA agent in the US and overseas needed to open my bag and both commented how cool that was to easily access things in the bag. I also love that it has an easy access zipper in the back of the bag (which made it easy to access my liquids and kindle to get through security). I will use this bag for overseas adventures in the future and for shorter domestic travel trips. I could easily use this for a 3 day journey and not have to carry any other bag, if I packed lightly and smartly. The quality of the bag is great, and I loved that it expands. This bag fit very nicely under the airplane seat and overhead in the storage bins. The front pockets on the bag were also great – especially the key holder which I used to attach an Apple AirTag to. If you make short or long trips, this is THE BAG to get for your carry-on/personal item. If you are strategic in packing and take this bag and a small suitcase (for longer trips) you can travel lightly and not have to check any bags! I would highly recommend this bag!

I’ve been using the Osprey Daylite Expandable 26+6 for a few months, and it has quickly become my go-to bag for everything—from daily commutes to weekend trips. Perfect personal-item bag for flying
LOVE! I like to travel (fly) without checking any bags and this backpack is essential for me. It opens up clamshell-style like a suitcase so all my stuff pack up easily. The default “size” is roomy but not too big, and when you need more space the bag zips to expand so you can fit more stuff in. Still fits under seat on plane as personal item, so a separate carry-on bag can be put above the seat. The padding on the straps and back of the bag is firm but cushioned. I got the solid gray color so it’s perfect for all styles. The quality is impressive. Overall for the price I couldn’t be happier.

Very versitile
This pack, just like my other 3 Osprey packs, are high quality and well-thought out. I put in an extra pair of shoes, 4 shirts, 2 pants, 3 socks, a dress, toiletry bag, water bottle & TSA clear liquids bag and still had plenty of room to spare for electronics -without expanding to the + 6 size. My goal for overseas travel is 26 liter personal carry and wear the sweatshirt and rain jacket. Then I can expand to carry them and any extras if needed. Wonderful addition to my travel collection. Straps are fine because I am traveling light. I appreciate the size as I am 5’4″ and it does not look huge, and fits my frame nicely. Clamshell opening is appreciated. Would like the outer pocket and “pen pocket” to be larger but I can work around that by putting my airline essentials bag at the top (gun, ear buds, snack, lotion).

I haven’t use it yet, I will update this review after I’ve used it a few times. The materials look high quality. Light weight, but durable. The zippers seem strong and all work well. Is a little shorter than my old backpack so I know this one will fit easily under an airline seat.

Works great for both travel and edc
I mainly use this backpack for commuting by car to and from work and for occasional travel here and there. It works wonderfully for this imo. Yes there are some trade offs compared to just getting a dedicated commuter pack and a separate travel bag. For example, less organization, not much padding for the laptop compartment, sideways opening can be a little awkward, etc. But those are all things I can live with for the value and versatility of an extendable bag like this. The bag is very high quality and durable for the price, nice zippers, very spacious especially when extended, lifetime warranty, etc etc. The black color is also quite nice looking and sleek enough for my tastes And the sideways opening is easily a nonissue if you just keep the zippers up top and treat it like a top loader when not packing it out.Tldr: $100 is a steal for a bag of this quality imo and it’s no wonder it’s regularly out of stock. Highly recommend if you can get your hands on it.

Found “The One”
I’ve had other bags from Osprey and Peak Design, but this one seems to fit my needs perfectly. It’s very lightweight, looks good (tunnel vision grey is nice!), is just the right size while being expandable if necessary, stands up on its own, and has all the right features, like a luggage pass through and AirTag slot. Any bigger and it would be too bulky fully packed and not great on airplanes as a personal item.The straps are very comfortable and while it isn’t a professional styled bag, its fine for business casual meetings. With compression packing cubes, it can carry 3 days of clothes no problem. I carry some shock cord with it so I can tie a jacket or something to it if needed. Hard to beat in this price range.

I bought this item, as my existing cheap backpack gave up the ghost after several years (zips failed). My wife advised that I should replace with a more robust and quality alternative. After rafts of research, I decided upon this particular backpack and whilst initially hesitant due to the cost, having received and used the backpack, both for an overnight stay (UK) and a 6 day short break (Europe) I can say that I am very impressed and happy with my purchase.The backpacks materials and build are robust and look and feel quality and as a result, it looks like it will last. It is very lightweight and comfortable, even when fully packed and I had no issues with discomfort whilst travelling with it. The backpack also fit perfectly under the seat on the aeroplane I recently travelled on and has a good selection of pockets for various items outside of the main storage compartment, the ability to expand this part of the backpack also came in handy to accommodate the extra bits and bobs I picked up during my trip.As stated, I am very pleased with this item and look forward to getting many years of service from it and as a result would not hesitate to recommend.

Cabe muy bien debajo del asiento delAvión. Aun me falta aprender como ser viajera minimalista, pero al menos pude meter ropa para 5 días (4 pantalones, 5 blusas, 5 juegos de ropa interior, 1 pijama, 1 toalla de microfibra, 1chanclas teva, 1 bolsa osprey de electrónicos donde metí mi cámara instax MiniEvo y una batería extra y cables de cargadores. 1 osprey con las cosas mini de baño como shampoo, acondicionador, jabón liquido de baño, limpiador de rostro, mini perfume, pasta y cepillo dental, toallitas humedas, hisopos, desmaquillante y desodorante…). Empaqué en la bolsa trasera mi ipadmini y un kindle basic. Todo esto sin usar los 6litros extra. Compre las bolsas para empacar daylite (paquete de 3) y caben perfectamente en la mochila. A lo mejor sirven más los cubos que comprimen, lo intentaré la próxima vez y actualizaré mi reseña! Solo llevé una minicangurera para tener identificaciones, dinero, celular y anteojos a la mano. Anexo foto, donde se ve un espacio, la tomé antes de empacar las chanclas jeje. Como fan de Osprey la comparé con la Daylite plus, pero de esa haré reseña aparte. Cómprenla! Osprey tiene años de experiencia y calidad, no se arrepentirán!
