Another winner from a great company
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’ve bought it’s little sibling, the HD20, several times. That one has always been fantastic and 100% reliable. So I pulled the trigger on the HD50 when it got a deep discount for Prime Day. Upon firing up the new one yesterday in my living room in the afternoon, it seems the flood bean is the same as that of the HD20, which is fine. The spot bean does seem noticeably brighter than the already powerful HD20. The hot spot at the center of the spot beam is nice and wide, appearing to be a good combination of throw and spill. The included 21700 battery has the heft to convince me that it’s high quality and will last a long time. The red LED gets surprisingly bright. They don’t bother providing a belt clip with this chunkier, heavier light. I recently got into the habit of using the belt clip to hold my orange HD20 (without its head strap) in my front right pocket next to my hand sanitizer and tiny Gerber dime multi-tool. Being a bulkier rectangle shape, the HD50 wouldn’t work so well for that purpose. The only complaint I could muster is the USB-C port being further recessed than usual. I didn’t try using the included charging cable yet, assuming that it will work fine. I first tried the USB-C cable that I always have plugged in and dangling next to my recliner. I use it to charge my phone everyday, And it also works great for charging the H20 headlamp. But when I pulled the little rubber plug out of the bottom of the HD50 and tried pushing the charging tip into the port, it wouldn’t go all the way in. The tip of my cable isn’t long enough. It is long enough to go through the cutout of my phone’s protective case, though. But an older cable dangling on the opposite side of my chair slid right in and charged it up fine. The included USB-A to USB-C cable will surely work fine, of course. But if you plan to charge it with an existing USB-C to USB-C cable that you already have lying around your place or in your bag, test your cables to make sure they actually slice all the way into the charging port of the HD50 to see if they actually fit or not. Because if you are out somewhere and you’re only power source is a small portable charger/power bank that only has a USB-C port, He included cable that came with this light won’t work for that.

Powerful Headlamp
We mostly use headlamps on our property in the winter time to go take care of our chickens. Previously we had some 2 pack of headlamps that I had to buy rechargeable batteries for because they ate through batteries even though it wasn’t that bright.This Wurkkos headlamp is super bright compared to the cheaper counterparts and can be recharged via USB-C. Being able to recharge it within the headlamp itself and having USB-C is one of my favorite parts of it since my previous headlamp required me to recharge 3 AAA batteries every so often.So far I’ve used it on my property at night and to get ticks off of my cat that escaped outside for the day.The red light doesn’t have a lot of every day functionality, but I know it’s important to some people. It has several brightness settings and gets pretty darn bright. I was able to see pretty far with it.The flood light is great because it illuminates such a wide area. This was perfect to get the ticks off of my cat. The spotlight would have made this too bright, so having the floodlight to do some close up work was amazing.The spotlight is obviously the star of the show. It does most of the work and gets the brightest. It illuminates such a large area and stayed bright for me.There’s a 4th mode to combine the spotlight and the flood but I don’t see myself using that much.To power on, you hit the circle button and then can click the M button to cycle through the different modes. To get different brightness settings, you click through the circle button. It stays on the last setting you had it on.The headlamp isn’t too heavy and is pretty comfortable compared to what I had before. My prior headlamp was limited in how I could angle it. There’s a lot more precision and movement with the HD50 but due to the brightness, it might be too much at some angles.The quality seems pretty solid. It’s not cheap plastic. I haven’t had any issues so far.Overall I’m happy with this given how I much I’ll use it and all of the features compared to my old one. It’s definitely an upgrade to the 2 pack for $20 or $30 or whatever.

Just buy it honestly. Sure the Chinese variants look tempting but this is far better. The battery life is insanely good. Literally the brightest light I’ve ever seen. Way more than enough for all of your needs. I personally use this light for working on automotive projects, and not having the battery pack in the back of the lamp is a huge plus for me, as well as the flood light mode. Take it from somebody who never leaves product reviews
